FLU CLINICS 2021/22 Cancelled

Due to the national shortage of drivers for the supply of Flu vaccines, we regret that we are unable to continue with our plans for running a clinic at Caldbeck Hall from the 21st of September.

As soon as we have delivery confirmation we will start calling patients or sending SMS to everyone.

Dear All patients

Due to the continuing situation with Covid-19, Caldbeck Surgery is running a FLU Clinic this year at Caldbeck Parish Hall, in order to maintain social distancing and for your safety.

Not all ages are eligible to be vaccinated. It is recommended that everyone aged 50 and over by 31st March 2022 and anyone with lung disease, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, without a spleen or pregnant, or is a main carer, is offered a flu vaccination. The Practice considers it very important that all our patients in this age group and with these conditions are able to take advantage of this.

If there is someone you rely on to care for you, please ask them to contact their own GP Practice as they may be eligible for a free flu vaccination

You will receive a text or a call giving you an allocated time from the dates shown below in the next few days

If you would like a text sent to you and we don’t have your mobile number please call the surgery and give your contact details.

If you decide to decline the flu vaccine please give us a call and let us know, so we can stop sending you other invites.

You will be invited on:

21st September between 15.30 – 18.30

22nd September between 9.30 am – 13.30 or 15.30 – 18.30

23rd September between 9.30 am – 13.30 or 15.30 – 18.30

At Caldbeck Parish Hall, CA7 8EU

When arriving for flu vaccination – Attend the session you have been allocated, wear a face covering and wear clothes that allow access to the top of your shoulder – this shortens time spent at the Hall and it helps maintain social distancing, reducing the risk of COVID-19 infection. Please use the hand sanitiser stations freely. COVID-19 is still circulating in our community

Flu vaccination provides the best protection against an unpredictable virus which infects many people and can cause serious illness and death each year. The vaccination is free and recommended yearly for those most at risk from flu.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours sincerely
