Barbara Iceton

SRN, PN Cert. Extended Skills

I qualified as a Registered Nurse at the Cumberland Infirmary where I continued to work until I became a practice nurse at Caldbeck Surgery in 1987.

My roles in the surgery include general nursing duties, such as dressings, taking bloods, weight and diet advice, warfarin monitoring, general health checks and assisting with minor operations.

I have a special interest and lead role in travel health advice in the practice. I completed a travel health course in 1998 and continue to attend study days to keep informed with new information relating to all aspects of travel health.

Judith Mandale

SRN, SCM, NDNC

I have been attached to Caldbeck Surgery since 1989 as a District Nurse and as a Midwife.

In my role as Practice Nurse I have a special interest in women’s health, sexual health, weight loss and respiratory care. All other aspects of practice nursing come within my daily work, and no two days are the same. The scope is as wide as I want it to be.

Outside work I am a mum, belong to a walking group, a reading group, attend an art class, practice tai chi and yoga. I enjoy cooking, baking bread and dining with friends.
