If health advice is needed for your holiday, then please contact the surgery for advice soon after booking your holiday. A receptionist will take some details ie. country being visited, date of travel, length of stay and type of accommodation.
A half hour appointment will be made for you with the practice nurse for the following week, by which time the travel health nurse will have prepared travel advice and checked which immunizations you will require.
Some course of vaccines can take up to nine months. In general, the longer your stay in a country the more vaccines are likely to be needed, especially if the stay is likely to be a month or more.

Malaria tablets are available at the surgery.
Most vaccines are kept in stock. There is a cost on a small number of vaccines. The price of these vaccines should be discussed prior to ordering.
