Caldbeck Surgery Charitable Fund

The Caldbeck Surgery Charitable Fund was established in March 1992 to:

• Relieve suffering and preserve and safeguard the health of all persons by the purchase of medical equipment, dressings, drugs and services not normally provided by the National Health Service for the benefit of patients of Caldbeck Surgery and others,

• Promote health education by the provision of equipment and materials for educational purposes at Caldbeck and elsewhere.

Over the years, the Charity has purchased a range of equipment, including TENS pain control machines, specialist pressure relieving mattresses for patients to use at home and a number of electronic motorised bath lifts. We have also purchased a 24-hour blood pressure monitor to help identify people who are suffering from high or low blood pressure. More recently collaboration with local businesses and services within and surrounding the community has provided a long awaited transport service in the form of the Northern Fells Group.

• Cheques to be made out to ‘Caldbeck Surgery Charitable Fund’.
• Cash and coin collections are also acceptable.

If you prefer you can make donations anonymously, otherwise please ensure we have the details of whom the donation is from (or on behalf of) as we always like to write and thank all who donate.

Funding Requests

The charity is well supported by patients, their relatives and friends. The Trustees meet quarterly to consider requests for funding. Any such requests may be given to any of the Trustees, the Secretary or Treasurer or sent to the Charity at:
